Eating on Moudena

How does pickup work?
When you reserve, you choose ASAP, a specific time, or flexible. The vendor confirms within a few hours and either accepts your time or proposes one. You'll see their pickup address only after they accept the order — privacy is the default.
When do I see the vendor's address?
After the vendor accepts your order — usually within hours. Until then you only see their service area on the map. The vendor sees your address only when you place an order, never before.
What if a vendor cancels?
If you've paid by card, your card is refunded automatically (we never charge until pickup is confirmed). If you paid cash, no money has changed hands. Either way, you'll get a notification with the reason.
Can I refund an order?
You can cancel any order in the 'pending' state — before the vendor has accepted. Once they've accepted and started preparing, message the vendor first. We step in for unresolved disputes through Get help.
Are vendors verified?
Every vendor signs the cottage food disclosure (where applicable) and provides a real address. Photos are reviewed for authenticity. Our quality team flags suspicious activity automatically — and you can report any listing in two taps.
What about food allergies?
Listings show allergens declared by the vendor. Always check before you order. If you have severe allergies, message the vendor with your concern before reserving — most home cooks happily accommodate.
How do I report a problem?
Tap the small Report link on any listing or vendor page, or open a ticket from Get help. We respond to all reports within one business day.

Selling on Moudena

Do I need a permit to sell homemade food?
Depends on your state. Florida and most US states have a 'cottage food' exemption that lets you sell certain low-risk homemade items (baked goods, jams, etc.) without a commercial kitchen. Other categories — meals, dairy, meat — often need a kitchen permit. Moudena makes you sign a cottage food disclosure during onboarding.
What's Florida cottage food law?
Florida allows up to $250,000/year in cottage food sales without a commercial kitchen permit. The full list of allowed items is at fdacs.gov/Consumer-Resources/Cottage-Food-Operations. Moudena tracks your cottage food sales automatically and warns you as you approach the cap.
Can I sell across state lines?
Cottage food laws are state-by-state and most don't allow interstate sales. We default your service radius to your local area to stay compliant. If you want to ship nationally, you'll need a commercial kitchen — let us know via Get help and we'll discuss next steps.
How do I get paid?
Two paths. Stripe direct deposit lands money in your bank in 2–3 days; we charge 5% per Stripe transaction (Stripe also charges ~3%). Or accept cash at pickup — we don't take a cut on cash. Tips go 100% to you.
What does Moudena take?
5% per Stripe transaction. That's the only fee. No monthly subscription, no listing fee, no per-message charge. Cash sales pass through with zero cut.
What if I want to pause my listings?
Toggle 'Pause vendor mode' under Settings on your dashboard. Your listings are hidden from buyers, you stop accepting new orders, but you can still see and reply to messages. Resume anytime in one tap.
Can I have helpers?
Yes — invite team members from Helpers in your dashboard. They can manage listings, orders, and messages on your behalf. Each helper gets their own account; you control which permissions they have.
